Nurse Johnstone was complimented on tho courteous and conscientious manner in which she carries out her duties, anil ihe increasing confidence she inspires in all with whom she comes in contact. In concluding, tlm president wished the branch every success, ami Imped the community generally would realise to tho full the very valuable character of' tile work carried out by tile .Society, and that there would then lie no need for anxiety about Jack of funds.

The nurse's report for the year ending March 31 at showed: —Visits to Blanket room in Fairlie, adults 651, babies 575, total 1229: visits to homes 212, and emulsion sold, Slbs. in ’Albury and Alt. Messing, visits to homes 108, visits to library, adults li, babies 18. total 35. Albury was visited--14 times and Alt. Messing 11 times during the year. There wore 54 new cases for the year in the lairlio, Albury nml Alt. Nessing districts. r l he petal notices sent out on receipt of birth notification was 56, and ol that number 36' mothers have availed themselves of the Society’s help, making- the percentage of Blanket babies 62.5 of the total. Mrs Talbot uas re-eleeted president, and Mesdames Wilcox and Hammond vice-presidents.
