CABS COLLIDE. ON KIXGSDOWN ROAD. Early on Saturday afternoon ther " was a head-on collision between two motor-ears at Jvingsdown. on the top of what is known as Big Hunting Creek hill, just a little south of Normanby. One was a Timaru car, and the other Mas one which had come from Christchurch. In each oar there were two people—the driver and another the passenger in the Christchurch ear being a lady! At the time of tlie accident the Timaru ear was travelling towards Timaru. and the Christchurch ear was going south. On the top of the liill. where the accident occurred, the mad is quite flat, but there is a bend in it which obscures the view of ears approaching from opposite directions. and by some means the two ears in question collided heavily. The ladv in the Christchurch ear was so injured that she had to he taken In a near-hv honse for attention, • and subsequently she was taken to the Timaru Public Hospital. The passenger in the Timaru ear. a man. was also injured, and both drivers were slightly hurt:.
