On Friday afternoon games of football and basketball were played at Clandeboye between teams from the St. Joseph's Convent, Temuka, aiul Clandeboye schools. The football match provided a good contest, and was won by St. Joseph's by 0 points to 3. For the winners. A. Morgan scored a ti} t and / . Dwan .kicked a. goal from a mark, while E: 'Taylor kicked a. penalty goal for Clandeboye. The girls’ teams were 'very evenly matched, the. game being won by. St. Joseph’s by .18 points to 15. Alter the games, the visitors and spectators were entertained to afternoon tea by the members ol' the- local teams.

The Temuka Technical Board lias opened its 1920 classes, and it is expected that there will again be a successful season, and that the attendance of both town and country pupils will be good. Mr H.
