BURGLARY.
THEATRE ENTERED. By Telegraph—Presi Association PALMERSTON N., April' 30. - A burglarious entry was effected last night to the Paramount Theatre, hut’ the perpetrators wore apparently disturbed, and left via a ground floor window . without touching tho safe. .'•.lnvestigation showed marks of a jemmy on, tho window off the alleyway. Apparently tho intruders tired of trying to open this, had sealed the. fire escape, and gained ... an entrance through the operating box door, which was left unlocked. Then they tried to force the office door with a jemmy, ultimately smashing the glass in the door, and slipping the catch back.
