Correspondence was read from Mrs Norrio (president), who is still on sick . leave; from Mrs Lirdsall, Palmerston ’ North, thanking the Union for donation sent for Willard Home; front Mrs T. E. Taylor, Dominion president, thanking the Union for its good visiles; and from the secretary of the ' Libie in Schools People's Organisation. It tv as decided to discuss the lastnatiled matter later. The “cradle roll” superintendent reported that an enjoyable social afternoon had been spent at the Host, about twenty-four children and their mothers 1 being present. Games, music, eompe- | t tions and afternoon tea filled in the time. Mrs Trott appealed to the meeting for a leader for the “Y” branch, and Mrs Gordon was unanimously appointed to fill this position. .It was decided to have a- rally on Monday, in Trinity Hall. Mrs Low, peace. and arbitration superintendent, gave an outline of the. t\nrk of the League of Nations for the last half year, and explained the present unsatislactory position. Ihe Hospital visitor’s report was given,.and rile sailors’ entertainment committee, for the month formed. Mr Woodward reported: — 1 Only two Home' boats have called at Timaru this montn —the Port Victor and s.s. Cumberland, hut inter-colonial steamers ami coasters nave been heio, and the men have visited the Post in the evenings.
