SYDNEY, April 29. ’ IVo Sydney agents ot London firms, exporting goods to Australia, chiefly from Germany and Switzerland, pleaded guilty to several charges of evading payment of customs duties and making "false entries in invoices with intent to defraud the revenue. Each was lined £IOO and costs.
Counsel, prosecuting on behalf of the Commonwealth authorities, described 'he case a R premeditated and systematic fraud, by reducing the value of goods shown in the invoices. 'The fraud has been proceeding for three years. Counsel read correspondence from agents to their priiu:ipal« disclosing the methods to be adopted.
