Tho town was defended by GOOD Druses. The French losses are stated to bo 80 killed and 270 wounded. The rebel casualties wore heavy. NATIONAL GOVERNMENT GRANTED.

Do Jouvenel (French High Commissioner in Syria), has issued a proclamation granting Syria a national Government, and appointing Namy Bey, head of the Government empowered to select his colleagues, pending regularly elected Parliament.
