DEATH OF MR WITTY.

EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. ]):- Trlcaraph —Press Association. INVERCARGILL, March 26. At eight o’clock on the evening of March. 8, Ercderick Witty, meat inspector at the Municipal abattoirs, was sinieU bv a motor-car while cycling home, and died shortly afterwards. The motorist apparently did not stop, but drove on. An inquest into the circumstances was held before Mr G. Cttiicksliank. Martin Horan, labourer, said he saw a Ford car travelling at about 30 miles per hour along the North Road after dark on the evening in question.
