Tho Senato again rejected by 22 votes to 12, the second rending of the Mines Act Amendment Bill, popularly known as the “Colour Bar Bill.” The decision conlirmod the attitude adopted last session that the Bill inflicted grave injustice on the natives. .. The Senate’s action necessitates a joint sitting with tho Hon.se of Representatives to consider theposition.
