MAGNIFICENT EXHIBITION AT PORTER AND DAWSON’S.

Exposition of art has attracted tho most learned and cultured people all over the world; and fortunate arc they who are, and have been, in tlie position to travel to Rome, , Florence, Venice and. other Italian.cities. To-day we are open to announce that a splendid opportunity of viewing the works of great Italian masters is afforded to Timaru people, rich and poor, which have cost many pcoplo hundreds of pounds to view in tho great Italian centres. A representative selection ol these beautiful works of art will, be shown in the well-known and central emporium of Messrs Porter and Dawson for a short period only; and every interested person throughout South Canterbury should not fail to avail themselves of this unique opportunity of inspecting this wonderful collection. The collection of art includes some statuary in Florentine marble, executed by Italy’s foremost artists, together with an extensive variety of pedestals, trinket boxes, vases, flower pots and toilet requisites. These beautiful works of art are not for exhibition only, but may bo purchased at very reasonable prices, ranging from Is to £BS.
