A GRADE MATCHES. i ■ J The South Canterbury Lawn Ten- , nis Association’s inter-club competi- ■ tions were continued on Saturday afternoon, when the weather was , ideal for this popular sport. I Timaru visited Wai-iti courts and registered a decided win, while a combined team from Geraldine and ; Temuka were defeated on Timaru courts by the home team. TIMARU v. WAI-ITI. Timaru had a creditable victory 'over Wai-iti, securing 12 sets to 4, and 117 games to 88. A feature of the match was the splendid performance of Hamilton, who fully extend'ed Johnstone to B—9. The scores were as follows:
