The South Canterbury Association’s competitions were continued in throe grades on Saturday. In the senior division, Zingari quickly disposed of the remaining Old Boys batsmen, and notched a win by an innings and 27 runs. At the Park what promised to be an interesting contest between Celtic and Tirnaru finished tamely, the latter’s second innings . ending in a debacle, and Celtic registering a comfortable victory. ZINGARI v. OLD BOYS. Zingari gained a decisive win over Old Boys at the Rectory Grounds. In their first innings Zingari made 166, to which Old Boys replied with 29. Old Boys juniors journeyed to Geraldine and defeated the home team by six wickets. In their first innings Geraldine compiled 56 (F. Turner 12, Williams 10). Hutchison 4 wickets for 12, Ross 2 for 10, and Lillico 2 for 5 were most successful with the ball. Old Boys in their first strike made 66 (Marriott 10, Ross 12). The principal wicket-takers were Haves 3 for 16 and Thomas 5 for 31. In their second attempt, Gcialdino were dismissed for 11 (Thomas 15) : Ross securing 4 for 16 and Hutchison 6 for 15.
