I The Sister in charge of the.St. Saviour’s Orphanage tendered her thanks I to the Association for the very thoughtful and prompt consent to the request I made concerning the conveyance of orphans from the Timaru railway station to tho local orphanage. The Otago Motor Club wrote stating that accommodation at Tahuna. Park motor camp had been allocated lor the dates set down. There were two bunks in each cubicle, not one ns the Association seemed to think. ■ The Taranaki Automobile Association advised that several camping grounds had been established in and around New Plymouth. The principal one was in New Plymouth itself; it was admirably situated, being practically on the beach, and yet close to the town. All eonveni•cti'cs had been installed and there was plenty of room for parking curs. A charge of 5s per week, or part ot a week would ho made for the use of the ryound. There were two other camping i.-jtes, one 15 miles and another 40 miles north of New Plymouth.

It was decided to write to the police mul Timaru Borough Council requesting that Beswick Street should be cleared on of the week. The chairman suggested that at some future date members of the Automobile Association should endeavour to arrange a trip for the orphanage children in South Canterbury. After a short discussion a sub-commit-tee was appointed to go into the matter. Accounts amounting to £2G Is were passed for payment.
