“Is smoking injurious?” Dr. Giotti, the famous Italian nerve .specialist, says it entirely depends cm the tobacco. He states that many of-the well-known American brands are so rich in nicotine that they, are best avoided, because their constant use is bound to cause nervo trouble. He considers smoking may bo actually beneficial under tiio proper condition.':. His advice lo smokers is: “Select a brand that while satisfying your ‘tobaeeohunger’ is yet practically freo from nicotine.” But it is not always easy to find such tobaccos. However, wo certainly have them right here in New Zealand. They am grown and the leaf is cured and manufactured for tho market within the Dominion. In fact, tobacco culture and manufacture now constitute one of our most promising industries. Moreover, our New Zealand grown tobaccos are so pure and relatively so free from nicotine that they quite fufil the Dalian s]>ccialist’s conditions. They may obtained from any tobacconist. Ask for "Diverhead Gold,” mild; “Navy Cut.” (Bulldog), medium: or “Cut Plug ,'io. 10’’ (’Bullshcad), full strength.
