Cable Association ..(Received December 17, 5.8 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 17. “The Sydney Morning Herald” dealing with the astonishing growth of Sydney during the _ past two dec-tides, claims that excluding cities whose population is largely coloured, she is second only to London for actual metropolitan pop- ‘ At the end of 1924, it was 1,012,070, and in case of Melbourne 885,700, but if Sydney embraced, as she rightly ,should, a similar, metropolitan area as does Melbourne, her population would be 1,113,890.
