The rebuilding of Water.oo Bridge will cost £ 500,000. ■ (In July 'a- cable message stated that a number uf societies, who, were anxious to (preserve AVaterloo Bridge, had sent to the London County Council a report of a group of engineers strongly advocating the underlay and repairing of the bridge in preference to the Council Cainmittee’s decision to replace it with a ‘new structure.)
