An infuriated native witness, during the hearing of a dispute involving lit a wife and father-in-law, pulled out a pair of tailor’s scissors, at his father-in-law and inllicted a serious stomach wound. He then turned to his wife, and snipped off two of her fingers. Next he hurled the scissors at the judge, who disappeared under the bench. The native then drew a revolver and created a panic, by challenging the entire court. The terrified public attempted to rush from the building, but the police overpowered the man, who when placed in the dock, bitterly complained that during the confusion someone had stolen his revolver. A prisoner being tried for embezzlement at Serreguemines, drew a revolver and fired at tbe prosecutor, but hit and killed the latter’s counsel. The prisoner emptied revolver shots around the loom, without effect, then swallowed liquid from a bottle, and threw himself from a window and foil two storeys. He was picked up mutilated and dead.
