VICE-BEG AL. . The Government steamer Tutanckai, with tho Governor-General and party aboard, arrived at Ore.ymouth at _ 8 o’clock last evening. Thai)’ Excellencies will ’cave by early train this morning for Reef ton. Mr G. Dash (Mayor of Waimate) was in Timaru yesterday. Mr R. B. Bell returned from Christchurch by the first express yesterday. At yesterday’s meeting of the South Canterbury Hospital Board the secretarv was instructed (o write to Mr R. J. McKeown expressing the Board’s regret at his present indisposition. Yesterday the Hon. G. .T. Anderson at Lawrence too!; the principal part in the ceremony of unveiling a memorial to 51 old pupils of the school who fell in tho Great War. The Minister is an ex-pupil oi tho school, having severed his connection with it 52 years ago.
