AUCKLANDER’S DEATH IN AFRICA. By Telegraph-—Press Association AUCKLAND, December 14. Details of the death of Mr W. R. Twigg, of Auckland, who was fatally wounded in an encounter with a lion in Northern Rhodesia, in October, have been received. Mr Twigg, accompanied by Mrs Twig" and Mr Jack Holmes, of Frankton, arrived at Livingstone (Northern Rhodesia), some time before the fatal occurrence. Mrs Twigg remained there, while her husband and his friend went off to the ncrth-east on a shooting expedition. News was received subsequently that Mr Twigg had been killed in the vicinity of Lake Rangweolo.
