The Union Co.’s steamer Kamo arrived at noon yesterday 'Trom Westport direct, to discharge a part cargo of coal. On completion she was despatched for Dunedin and' Bluff in ! the evening. It is expected that the steamer will return from the southern ports about Tuesday next to ship general cargo for Wellington, Napier and,Gisborne. The Calm loaded for Wellington and Wanganui at Timaru yesterday, .and sailed-for Lyttelton in the evening. \ ■ The Kairanga completed discharge of Australian hardwood poles from Port Stephens last evening, and proceeded to New Plymouth. The Progress has been diverted, and will not call at this port this trip. Tho Holmdale will take up the running',-and will pick up the cargo the Progress was to have taken. She is expected to berth today from Oamaru to load for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads, and is timed to sail for Lyttelton the same evening. The Wanaka is expected to arrive tonight from Lyttelton, via Auckland to discharge a quantity of general cargo, including sugar, at Timaru. She is to sail for Dunedin the same evening, and is duo back about Tuesday next to load for Wellington and Auckland. The Opihi is now set down to reach here about Wednesday from Oamaru, to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. On account of Wednesday being Anniversary Day, no work will be done on the Waterfront, and the vesm] will not get away for Lyttelton until Thursday.
