ATHLETICS.
Y.M.C.A. EVENING MEETING. A meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Amateur Athletic Club was held at the Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening. Present —Messrs E. D. Mcßae (chairman), R. Hillary (acting lion, secretary), H. Auty, A. Jones, E. C. Hetherington, and It. Gray. The following officials were appointed for tho evening meeting to be held on the Caledonian Grounds at 0.30 p.m. ou Thursday next: —Supervisor, Mr A. N. Oakey; judges: runring, Messrs C. W. Cameron, C. H. C'oxhead, A. E. Horwell; jumping, Messrs J. V. McKeaguo and V. T. Nicholas; timekeepers, Messrs A. Fraser and M. Dunn; starter, Mr C. Hind; starter’s steward, Mr A. D. McRae; stewards, Messrs H. Auty, A. M. Jones, L. Webster, and P. R. Williams; liandicapper, Mr E. D. McRae. It was decided to extend time of cursing entries until to-night. The secretary reported that entries were coming in freily. It was decided to notify competitors that the meeting will commence sharp at 6.30. The secretary reported that tho points for tho Wallace Cup now stood as follows : A. McArthur 7, J. Smither 6, L. Clements 5, R. Hillary 4, E. A. Leo 4, D. L. Tate 3,1). Malcolm 3, J. Dclury 3, J. Murphy 2. G. Bryan 2.
