The Tinyiru Rangers journeyed to Ashburton on Saturday to try conclusions with the .Ashburton eleven. 'ilio Southern team proved victorious by two goals to nil, after a very closo game, a good exhibition of the codo being witnessed. . The Cave Cup match in _ limsrn between ’thistle A and Inistlc L resulted in a win for the former by five goals to two.

Just prior to the interval, Storey and Harris endeavoured to sandwich tec inside left Elkes, but the last-named rail round them mid mused the roof on t.ic net with a. After the interval, tho Englishmen s difficulty seemed to be to dodge scoring, but the crowd commenced to taunt tliS visitors for not trying. Simms scored England’s next and final goal. Lambert, of Newcastle, who played centre half for Australia., was a failure.
