McChowan , and tho secretary (Mr C. M. Bouden), of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, with Mr J. R. Simpson (member of the Executive of the Associated Chambers), visited the Mararoa to-day. All parts of tlio ship were examined, and they state unhesitatingly that the Mararoa is in a perfectly clean condition. They were at a loss to understand the report from Dunedin.
