At Eastbourne, a tennis match is being played between Britain and the American Wimbledon contingents, on the Davis Cup lines—four games of singles and one of doubles. The first day’s play resulted:’ Casey (American) beat Wheatley 6-0, 6-1, 6-3. Gilbert (Britain) beat Hennessey 6-2, 6-3, 7-5.
