JAPANESE TRADE.
NEW TREATY WITH MEXICO. By Cable —Prbaa Association—Copyright. MEXICO CITY, May 10. Under a new treaty now announced Mexico treats Japan as a favourea nation. Japanese are encouraged to come wi£h their families as well as to inter-marry as they are already doing, and engage in all kinds of industrial, agricultural and professional pursuits. The special encouragement given to insurance companies is significant in view of the fact that powerful American companies withdrew from Mexico ten years ago because the conditions were bad.
Japanese are exempted from military service, and are assured of rights of port entry and duties similar to those conceded to goods aboard Mexican boats.
