UNDER WHICH FLAG?
yon Hindenburg’s
Dilemma.
REPUBLICANS V. MONARCHISTS
By Cabl. —Pre»a Association—Copyright. "The Times.” (Received May 11, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May. 11.
The Berlin correspondent of “The Times” says: On the eve of President Hindenburg’s entry into office, he finds Berlin at loggerheads over the Flag question. An official notice states that the Republican flag must be flown, but the Nationalists are urging members not to be shy about flying the Biack, Red and Gold emblem.
Tho decision of the Republican Associations against participating in welcoming President Hindenburg, is regretted as enabling the Monarchists practically to dominate the occasion, thereby conveying an impression not strictly in accord with the true state of Berlin feeling.
