A meeting of the Management Committee of the S.C.R.U. was held last evening. Present—Messrs H. H. Fraser (chairmaja), S. Williams, G. Fairbrother, J. Phillips, D. Hertnon, Hugh Fraser, W. Gumming, J. Connor, and J. V. McKeague (secretary). Tho president moved ; a motion of sympathy with Mrs Massey in the death of the Prime Minister, which was earned, all members standing. On behalf of the Kingsdown School, Miss Tizard made application for a football and a copy of the rules of Rugby.—To bo supplied in the usual manner through the Schools’ Association.

ZINGARI DEFEAT WAIHI. Zingari and Waihi played' at Winchester Park, where the ground was in splendid order. Several Waihi men tailed to put in an appearance, and the game started with Waihi playing one man short for a time. Sheldon kicked off for Wailii, F. Ward returning the ball past midfield. A long kick by Sheldon drove the Yellows back close to their goal line. McWhirter sent the ball out at midfield. From the line out W. Quirko and N. Robertson broke aw;ay, bub F. Ward relieved' with a long kick, which Sheldon returned to Zingari’s 25. Sheldon had a shot at goal from a free, which went outside the post. From the kick out Stevenson, ltitchie and Gibb took the play to the Croons’ 25, when Zingari were awarded p, free kick, but Gibbs’ kick went wide. Sheldon, getting the ball from O’Neill, sent it on to A. Edgoler, who was upended by F. Ward when getting dangerous. From a dribbling rush by Ritchio, Timewcll and L. Ward, Hargreaves secured a clever mark. Walker kicked back to Priest, who ran to Zingari’s 25, where lie was stopped by Fowler. From the line Bracelield sent to Christmas, to F. Ward, to Ditchfreld, who eluded Hargreaves and scored near the uprights. Walker failed with the lciclt. Zingari 3, Waihi 0. Long kicking by Sheldon and F. Ward left play near the centre. A rush by Robertson, Quirko (2), and A. Edgeler took the ball to Zingari’s line, but a long kick by Me Whiner removed the danger. A pot by Sheldon just mised. Robertson, Quirko and ’Wood worked to the Yellows’ 25, and from a free to Waihi, Sheldon put tho ball over with a good kick. Zingari o, .Wailii 3- M. Quake returned tiio kick out, and a long kick by Sheldon forced the Yoilows. F. V/artl kicked well down the field, the ball going out near Waihi’s 25. From tho lino out Ritchio scored near tho posts. Gibbs’ kick went outside. Half time was called with the score Zingari ... ... 6 Waihi 3

A rush by Wilson, Gibb and Fnirbrother went well down the field, Hargreaves saving a score by forcing. A rush by hairbrothor, Gibb and Ward kept Hargraves and Priest busy, Sheldon eventually relieving with a well-judged kick. From a long kick by Wilson, Stevenson following up well, secured the ball and went over near the posts. McWhirtci* failed to improve. Zingari 0, Waihi H. A rush by O’Neill and W. and M. Quirko took the leather to Zingari’s 25. Walker relieved with a serviceable kick. (At this stage a Zingari and a Waihi player were ordered olf, and shortly after another Zingari was also sent off.) Robertson, Wood' and Quirkea took the ball to Zingari’s 25, but Y.l>Whivler saved with a good kick past the half way mark. Gibb got well away, but O’Neil] tackled him safely. Brnoefiekl sent Christmas and Ward off, Sheldon tackled the latter, hut Ward bed passed to Wilson, who scored in a handy position. Gibb converted. Zingari 24, Waihi 3. A rush by Fail-brother and Ritchie was stopped bv Sheldon and Priest. MeWhirter shortly after potted a pretty goal. Shortly after time was called. Zingari 28 Waihi 3 Dr. F. A.
