The Princess Royal. A Reuter’s message received from London, says :- The Princess Royal continues to make slow but definito progress. Vice-nasal. ITis Excellency tho Governor-General was presented at the official opening of the Mission to Seamen at Auckland with historic souvenirs of Nelson’s famous flagships, the Victory and the Eoudrovant. Tho presentations were made* by Nelson Syivanus and Beresford Garnet Arthur, the two young sens of Mr T. W. Arthur, of Moana Avenue, Royal Oak, and took the form of medals struck from copper .taken from these vessels. The lad Nelson; Arthur has previously presented His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, Viscount Jellicoe, Vice-Admiral Sir, Frederick Field, and Rear-Admiral Sir Hubert Brand wjth similar souvenirs.' Mr Arthur presented His Excellency, in addition, with a walking stick knob beaten from the copper of the Eoudrovant, the historic flagship at Abouk’-r, upon the quarter-deck at which Scotland's famous general, Sir Ralph Abercromby, died from h|» wounds.

On Wednesday the Y.M.C.A. is to have a visit from Mr H. N. an outstanding figure in the I.M.G.A. world.' Mr Holmes is at present visiting the Y.M.C.A. s in the Dominion at the limitation of the Non- 7o<dmd National Committee of tho Y.M.C.A.
