One of tho worst baby farm scandals on record has just been revealed by a raid by the children's Protection Society on tho so-called Iniantonum, situated in the heart of Now York, in which twenty-two tiny inmates are known to have died since the beginning of the year. Tlie last victim was a little boy. less than a year old, who was removed yesterday by tlie police, and died this morning at hospital as the result of starvation.
Nineteen other infants found in the Infuntorium were all suffering from malnutrition.
One little girl related that it was the custom to whip the children when they asked for more food. She declared they were always hungry.
