MINIATURE RIFLES.
TIMARU CLUB. The Timaru Club held its two nightly shoots last week, and by the number of new members enrolling, there is every reason to anticipate a record season. Tho Club will get right, down to business to-night, when the first stage of Captain Lewis's trophy will bo tired for, and the challenge and aggregate medal will follow at an early date.
The highest scores off the rifle for tho week at the 25 yards range were: W. Cowles, G. Everett 70, J. Stevenson, B. Walker, P. Foden (if), J. Thomas, W. Rennie, J. Day 68, W. Duncan, A. Agnew, W. Mitchell, A. England, N. Dickinson 67. Shooting will start this evening at 7 o’clock sharp.
