NEW PLYMOUTH, 'April.27. • The ’disqualifications ot three -years which have been imposed on , Harry Daniel, of WavdHey,; and upon ' Street Prince by the Judicial Coriirilittee of the Taranaki Trotting Club, were a sequel to an • incidohi at the Taranaki Trotting Club’s mooting at New Plymouth on A'plil tVhen Mr T. H. Dayey,, stipundiarv- steward, questioned the identity s ; of/the hofse entered as •Tekapo, which: was, saddled up for the Moturoa Handicap. An ' inquiry was held and adjourned, but the ihorse was not allowed to start/being impounded by the committee-. (- . . . ’Hie findings of the judicial; committee- of the club, state “After deliberation, it was resolved unanimously (1) That Harry Daniel; of Waverlev, ho; disqualified for ( three jvars for nominating Svijeet Prince (Sweet Patch—Princess Ena) as Tekapo (Brooklyn—Nancy).;’' the finding also alleges the making of false Statements by Daniel ; t‘2) That the black gelding Sweet Prince, entered as Tekapo, be disqualified for three years. The committee point; out that from evidence ' and informafion supplied by the Association it .would appear that Sweet. Prince, was: sold .several times without, the transfers being registered. There was ? not the slightest doubt that this' horSO Was the oiie nominated by Daniel as iTekapp; From authentic 'information supplied by' the Trotting Association . Tekapo was; pprchaSed from .Scott, of Kaiiwi. and taken‘to Queens-land-bv Ireland in 1914,'arid there was no infprination that the horse returned to the .Dominion. (Ireland, 'referred't'o in the' above telegram, is under .''.■'disqualification/for life, for alleged irregularities in dealing with trotting horses. The --real Tekapo would now be well over 20'years old.)
