The -Court of Inquiry Into steel houses reported that the fear that the adoption of such a scheme would unduly compete with the recognised building industry was groundless, since the enormous need for houses cannot be made up 1 in many years, whatever scheme is adopted. The report generally concludes that the scheme to provide houses marks a serious attempt, conceived along scientific lines, to organise the productive power to meet an urgent need.
