Crowborough, the scene of the, Thorne murder, has again been shocked by the discovery of the body of a little girl, Joan Ammefts, aged ten, lying dead with her head battered and her throat cut. Blood-hounds followed a trail for a mile and a half, then lost it. Joan went shopping, and her parents are unable to conjecture what happened.
