A woman’s lie made Hector Cebc, (accountant) murder M. Thibant, a wealthy city man. Cebe’s sweetheart confided in him that M. Tliibant took her to lunch, plied her with wine and then took advantage of her. Coho immediately went to M. Thibant and shot him dead, and then discovered that his sweetheart had lied. She had been M. Thibant’s plaything for two years. Cebo collapsed when ho heard tlm truth. The Assize Court acquitted him.
