CLEVER THEFT OF JEWELLERY

The latest of a series of daring burglaries, attributed to a man known as the “cat burglar,” on account of his methods, was discovered on Saturday. The thief had scaled the front of a house .in Kensington during the night. lie entered a bedroom through an open window, and stoic jewellery valued at £ISOOO, while the occupants were sleeping a few feet away.
The police lately have been keeping special Avatch in the West End for the thief, who is apparently a skilled climber. Ilis methods are always the same.
