Y.M.C.A. CLUB
The opening run of the Y.M.C.A. Amateur Athletic Club will take place on Thursday next. The race, which is open to all amateurs, will commence at tne Bay Rotunda. at 8 p.m. The Battalion Band will be in attendance and the concert will commence immediately on the departure of the cometitors. Tho course which will be of about three miles, will run from the Bay rotunda through the V iaduct on to the main north road, continuing out to Waimataitni Street, thence over the railway bridge to the left down .Richmond road; to right down Kverlsley road; to right down to and along Clnnic Terrace, to left into Richmond Street, and over Benvenue Cliffs to Bay rotunda; Pickets will be posted at all necessary points along the route to direct competitors. Splendid trophies are being offered and the race should attract a largo field
ST. ANDREWS SPORTS
The annual gathering of the St. Andrews Caledonian Society will he held on Saturday, December 6tli. The, plo-
sive one, embracing practically all Tornis of athletic contests, as well as music and danc’ng. Entries close on. Monday,'December Ist. A special passenger train will run to St. Andrews on the day of the sports.
