The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Chronicle'’' says that messages from Lisbon state ' that the famous Palace Villa Vicesa, summer residence of the King of Portgual, which belongs to ex-King Manoel, has been ransacked. The burglars took booty estimated to be worth £1,500,000, including a massive silver dinner service, priceless tapestries, ancient gold vases, and pictures by old masters. King Carlos was staying there when lie signed the decree deporting the-leader of the Portuguese Republicans. Dropping tbe pen he said: “I feel just signed my sentence of death.” Two days later the. King and his eldest son were murdered in Lisbon.
