MINIATURE RIFLES.

TlMAiir CLUB. The shield presented by the “Timarn Herald” is arousing much' interest among miniature rifle enthusiasts. This year twenty-three teams have entered. The Timaru Club have eight teams shooting, and the first round will bo fired witl; Otipua on the Timaru rano-o ibis evening. ° OTIPUA CLUB. At the Otipua Miniature Rifle Club’s weekly shoot Mr Ken Mayo’s trophy was fired for L. Richards, C. Jackson, fy Hughes, B. Watson, R. Stewart, an “ J- Allen tied for the final,' which he competed on Monday evening. The highest scores off. the rifle were:— J. Watson 69, R. Stewart 69, W. J. Allen 68, E. Underhill 68, L. liio W ashdyke Club held theii weekly shoot on Tuesday night loi the first round of Forcer and Dawson's, trophy, and also tne shoot oil for W. Fariane’s trophy. S. Brown proved the winner. FAIRLIE v. TE NGAWAI. A match was fired recently between the F airlie and To Ngawai Miniature Rifle Clubs, at Te Ngawai, and after a very even contest ended in a win for Fairlie by 5 points. Below are the scores:—
