• ANGLO-FRENCH NEGOTIATIONS. i>y Cable—Press Association—Copyright. PARIS, June 27. Submitting an account of the Chequers and Brussels conversations to the Senate and Chamber, M. Herriot said Mr MacDonald told him that in the event of German default in the execution of the Dawes plan, Britain would solemnly undertake to stand by the Allies. Britain desired Germany to give a written undertaking to carry out the necessary measures for the execution of the plan. M. Herriot insisted to Mr MacDonald the necessity for a settlement of the inter-Allied debts question. The British Prime Minister admitted that the question should be taken up without delay.
