Deep-sea fishermen have had very poor catches off tho coast of Timaru lately. It is three- weeks since they have" caught any groper.

A litter of 17 pigs which a Taranaki farmer thought some time ago was a record, at all events in his experience, has since* been eclipsed by the same sow on the same farm, which on Sunday presented the farmer with a litter of 20 pigs.
