PLAY IN ENGLISH MATCHES. (Router’s Telegram.) LONDON, June 26. In the first day's play against Sussex, Lancashire made 287 (E. Tyldcsley 105). In the match, Worcester against North. Sliy»all scored 131, completing his thousand runs this season. Against Derby, Woolley for Kent, made 124. Le verson-Gowers side's batting was similar to the Africans. There was a iun of cheap wickets. Howell (Oxonian). l'Joggart and Criitehley gave 'lie brightest displays. The Africans began their second innings badly. Commaille. Taylor, and No arse went cheaply. The score was 5 for 117, then Rhodes took 4 for 5 in four Overs. The wicket wore badly after an hour’s play.
