SPAIN’S TROUBLES.
MOROCCAN PROBLEM AGAIN. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, June 25. The Barcelona correspondent of the “Daily Express,” says that public opinion is highly excited over the Moroccan troubles. The position of the dictator, General Riviera, has been shaken, ami there are rumours of General Weyler becoming Premier, as a section of the army is protesting strongly against the decision to evacuate advanced pests in Morocco. Colonel Frianco, commanding the foreign regiment, refuses to leave his position, and threatens to march on Melilla with the troops. When General Sanjuju was ordered to arrest Colopel Frianco, nothing was done. Meanwhile, General Berrenguer is being tried for responsibility for the defeats of the 'Spanish troops in Morocco in 1921. The charges against General Navarro have been withdrawn. The public is convinced that if the Moroccan operations continue, the Spanish Treasury will be exhausted.
