ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 25. At Addington market the entries today were smaller in all classes, and there was an advance in values of both fat cattle and fat sheep. Store Sheep.—A good entry, mostly of hoggets, some coming from Otago provinco. There was a good demand for all classes, with an advance for ewe hoggets. Wethers were unchanged. Hallbred ewe lambs realised 325, cull halfbred ewe lambs 24s 2d, good threequarterbred ewe iambs 29s 6d to 29s Bd, mixed sex threequarterbred lambs 23s lOd to 24s lOd, halfbred wether lambs 21s to 24s 2d, crossbred' ewe lambs 26s 2d to 295, crossbred wether iambs 21s 5d to 22s 3d. Aged halfbred ewes in lamb 22s 3d, failing-mouthed halfbred ewes in lamb 29s 7d. Forward four and six-tooth halfbred weitliers 33s 9d to 37s 3d, ordinary 26s 6d to 31s Id; ordinary two and four-tooth wethers 23s 7d to 27s sd. two-tooth halfbred wethers 28s 7d to 31s. Fat Lambs. —A small yarding of 1430 met with a sound demand at recent rates, Hid to ll*d being the ruling figure. Extra prime lambs made up to 40s 4d. prime 34s 6d to 3is, medium 30s 6d to 34Sj light 25s to 30s. Fat Sheep.—-A smaller entry comprising 9£ races, caused a hardening sale throughout, and an advance for good sheep of 2s per head on last week was recorded. Extra prime wethers brought up to 50s (a few pens at 54s 6d), prim© 42s to 475, medium 37s to 41s, light 33s to 365. Extra prime ewes 43s Id, prime 34s to 38s, medium 29s to 33s 6d, light 25s to 28s. Fat Cattle.—A smaller yarding than for some months, comprising 370 head. Best beef sold at front 32s 6d to 85 per lOOlbs (a few pens to 36s 6d), lighter from 28s to 31s. Values were up by fully 30s per head on last week. Extra prime steers fetched £l6 to £l7 (special pens £lB 15s), prime steers £l2 to £ls 10s, medium £9 5s to £ll 15s, light £5 10s to £9. Good prime heifers £lO 12s 6d, prime £6 10s to £8 15s, medium £4 to £6. Extra prime cows £l2 ss, primo £6 to £8 10s, medium £4 5s to £5 15s. Vealers. —A small entry was responsible for an improvement of 5s to 10s per head on last week. Runners 5s to 12s 6d, good vealeys £2 17s 6d to £4, good calvhS 32s 6d to £2 12s 6d. Store Cattle.—A small entry, mostly of cows, which sold up to £3 per head. No quotable lines of steers were forward .

Dairy Cattle. — A large entry met with a slack demand, and sales were difficult to make. Third and fourth calvers £8 to £l2 10s, best heifers £7 10s to £lO, cows just calved £5 to £7 .lOs, backward calvers and cows in mill; some time; 30s to £4 ss. Fat Pigs.—A small yarding and a keen sale, prices firming on last week. Choppers £3 to £7; light baconers £4 to £4 15s, heavy £5 os to £6, extra heavy £6 10s; average price per lb 7£d to Bfd. Light porkers £2 6s to £2 15s, heavy £3 to £3 14s; average price per lb 3d to 9d. Store Pigs.—A medium entry met a good sale 1 at late rates. Weaners 11s to 17s 6d, small stores 18s to 23s 6d, medium stores 26s to 38s, large 40s to 52s 6d.

BURNSIDE MARKET,

Bv Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN .June 25. There were good sales of sheep and lambs at Burnside to-day, it being the last sale at which export buyers would operate. The fat cattle market was decidedly easier, prices declining from 20s to 25s per head, and store cattle were also a triflei easier. Eat Cattle. —342 head were yarded, compared with 282 last week. PJ”' 11 sorts and cows slumped badly. the keenest demand was lor prime bullocks, but cattle taken all round declined in value from 20s to 25s per bead. Choice handv-weight bullocks sold at up to ?9s per ltiOlbs, medium and heavy bullocks 265, prime heifers 18s to 21s cows and light heifers 15s to 1/s 6d. Itxtia prime bullocks made up to £l7 prime £T3 to £ls. medium £lO to £ll 10s; extra prime heifers to £1 010 s, medium £6 10s to £B. Fat Sheep.—26oo bead were •penned, compared with 30-14 last week.
