Tox Rickard has announced that he is in receipt of a telegram from Firpo definitely accepting terms for a bout with Harry Wills during the latter part of August. Rickard will announce the time and place after the Democratic Convention. It will probably be held in Jersey City. Tho heavy-weights have agreed to meet on a percentago basis! A telegram from Los Angeles says that half a million dollars is offered for a mixed bout between Jack Dempsey (heavyweight) and Strangler Lewis (champion wrestler) by tho Athletic Chib at Knox, Indiana. The suggested date is August 16. Sporting writers are to be asked to fix the rules of the contest.
