The annual winter show, held under j the auspices of tne U'ainiate Poultry ■ Association commences on hriday next, ' at. j! p.m. and will be continued until Saturday evening. Tiie secretary (Air W. I'. George) reported tnat entries for 'the poultry section constituted a record, close on 4UU having been received. The entries for the Winter Show section are also very good.

WAIMATE DISTRICT HUNT. Mr E. (3. Studliolme presided over a special general meeting of the Waimate Distr et on-Saturday evening. The revised rules, as drawn up by tlie sub-committee were adopted. Master A. G. Pitts was elected a member and Mr T. Ilobbs an honorary life member. POINT TO POINT MEETING. Next Thursday afternoon the annua! Point to Point meeting will be held. The course selected is an ideal one, having a natural grandstand, winch will give spectators - a splendid view of every fence. The site is two miles from Waimate, along the Timaru road. For the guidance of visitors a Hag will be placed at the corner ol the main road, and tlio road leading to the course. Twemv-two nominations have been received and, provided the weather conditions are favourable, a good day's sport is assured.
