FIRES.
HOTEL DESTROYED
By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER, June 22. Tlie AVestshore Hotel, in the suburbs of Napier, was burned to ashes at 3 o’clock' this morning- No water supply was available and nothing was saved. An adjoining cottage and a small hut were also totally destroyed. The hotel was owned by Mr E. Austin (Auckland), and the licensee was Mr F. Rhodes The insurances were ±:342(). The boarder.; escaped in their night attire, saving nothing. BUSINESS PREMISES GUTTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 22. A brick building in Singer’s Avenue, off Willis Street." was gutted by fire this morning. It was occupied by Messrs Johnson (cabinet maker), Meyer and Kean (engravers), and others.
