TAXI CAPSIZES. By Telegraph—Press Association. NELSON, June 22. A taxi-car, driven by J. Haase, came to grief oil the Port Road on Saturday’ evening. Something seemed to go wronoN with one of the back wheels, which came off. The car zigzagged for about sixty yards, when one of tho front wheels collapsed, and the car capsized. Five passengers who were aboard had a luckv escape. One, J. Erahgen, was removed to hospital, bur liis condition is not serious.

INJURED BY RUNAWAY VAN. By Telegraph —Press Association. DUNEDIN Juno 22. A runaway carrier’s van knocked down and slightly injured a woman, ami further along Princess Street knocked down a middle-aged man, so lar onlv identified by his surname.

SUDDEN DEATH AT SEA. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON. Juno 23. A wireless message received to-,lav from the captain of the Port Wellington. states that Mr J. Hunter, ehi-d engineer of the vessel, died suddenly at sea on Sunday. The Port Wellington left this port on June 14 for London.
