Vs’iirants already announced are Mr y C Rent (Rawnia), Mr J. T. Johnooii !To Awaniutu ) , Mr D. S. Reid ( Xgauiuapouri). Messrs Dent and Johnson both contested the seat at the last election. Mr Reid (chairman of the Waipa C: univ Councili is spoken of, and other probables are Mr Mervyn Wells (Cambridge! and Major Samuel Tiruu. The present member (Mr 1. L>e) will definitely seek re-election in the Liberal interests. There is no indication so far of a Labour candidate.
