The Nurses’ report for the year showed 210 new cases; 568 visits to homes in new cases, and 6162 visits paid to cases of a month or over in age. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr Gapper for advice about the car, to Mr Joynt for auditing the - books, for free garaging in Teniuka to Mr Hally, in Geraldine to Messrs Bennett and Macgregor, at Pleasant Point to Mr Smith, and to the Press. Mrs Annitage was re-elected president, with Mrs Tripp and Mrs Millie vice-presidents, Mesdames .Hayhurst and Sheen representatives for Teniuka, .Mesdames Sinclair Thomson, and Guvon Macdonald for Geraldine aud Mrs MacPherson and Miss Maze for Pleasant Point.

Mrs Trip]) gave notice that the Geraldine Committee did not purpose to continuo the present organisation after the current year.

TEMUKA SUB-BRANCH

A meeting of the Committee of the Temuka Suo-Hranch was field in the W.C.T. V. Present —Mesdames Armitago (in the chair), Cross, Hayliurst, Capper, tlancox, Cunnion, Tlioirison 'J went vman, Wightman, and Sheen. It was reported that at the annual meeting of ilic. Central Committee, .Mrs J.'AI. Tripp had given notice that the Geraldine sub-branch did not intend to carry on the work with the present arrangement beyond the current vear. Tho Central Committee had also decided to purchase a new car. This had been done and the new car was now in commission. During the month there had been two special meetings in connection with the offer of the Chautauqua Committee to allocate any surplus funds to the Temuka sub-branch. A communication was received irom the Geraldine County Council with reference to the incorporation of Plunket offices in the Mechanics’ Institute. It was resolved that if the accommodation offered met the requirements of the nurses, the Committee woulq be glad to avail themselves of it. A vote of thanks was passed to hi.
