MART REPORTS. UNIVERSAL MART. Messrs Haynes, Oakey. and -Co. icport for the "week ended Saturday last, as under:— Produco.—Potatoes 13s and 1.4 s per sack, fowl wheat 21s and 22s for best, swedes 2s per sugar bag, apples from 7s per case. Furniture and sundries. —During tie past week there was the usual demand tor new and second-hand furniture, and quite a' quantity changed hands by private treaty. Clearing sales.—On Friday last in our Mart, we held a complete clearing sale of choice household furniture and effects on’ account of Mr W. P. Parsons, of Hunter. There was a large attendance of the public, bidding was fairly keen, anti each lot offered found buyers at satisfactory .prices. We have four other clearing sales on hand. Property.—We successfully negotiated threo sales since our last report, and the demand for good town property and building sections continues keen. There is a keen demand for houses tc rent, but the supply is very limited. “THE RIALTO.” H. Allchurch and Co. report for the week ended Saturday, June 14th:— At our weekly “Rialto” sale on Friday we had a very largo entry of poultry and pigs. Pigs were in much better demand, but poultry was in poor demand. Prices realised were as follows:

Poultry.—Hens, Is 6d to 3s fid, cockerels, 3s 6d to 6s, roosters, 3s fid. ducks, 4s. all at per pair ; geese, 3s to 3s 3d each. figs. —Weaners, 9s, 10s, 10s Gd. I Is, 13s, 14s each: slips, 21s, 2-3 s, 26s 6d and 28s each.

Produce.—Wheat, 18s to 225; potatoes, 12s to 15s ;*n- sack. - A line of 200 sacks of oat-sheaf chaff realised 5s to 5s 6cl per sack. Bacon, rolls, lid per lb, hams, Is and Is Id per lb. Fruit.—Apples, dessert, 8s to ’.ls, cookers, 4s 6d to 8s 6d per case; walnuts, 8d to 9d per lb. Eggs.—The supply of Circle eggs is now gradually increasing, and the market. is a little easier. Last week’s prices were 2s 4d to 2s 6d per dozen. Household furniture and effects.—On I l'iday at “The Rialto” we disposed of a fair quantity of .household furniture and effects, at satisfactory prices. Clearing sale.—On Wednesday, 11th we held a special clearing sale at “The Rialto,” when there was a largo attendance of buyers and bidding was keen, resulting in a total clear ance being effected, at satisfactory prices.

Property department.—The property market remains steadv.

THE RIALTO, TEMUKA. A. H. Fenn submits the following report for week ended, 14th June:—Poultry.—Good entry. Old hens and roosters 2s to 2s Gd, young and heavy 3s to 4s Gd; ducks 4s Gd to 6s 6d, all at per pair. Table potatoes 10s to 12s per sack; fowl wheat 19s to 225; peas (seconds) 15s to 18s, whole peas 225; bran 10s Gd; bacon lOd to Is, hams lid to Is; cooking apples 8s 6d to 10s Gd, dessert 8s Gel to 11s.
